Sparrow – LARPing since 2008 – was interviewed at NELCO 2013 and asked 3 questions:

1. How do you define and describe LARP?
2. Is LARP a game or art?
3. What makes a good LARP character?

Here are Sparrow’s off-the-cuff answers, including a discussion of the role of consent in casting, the differences between LARP and other forms of role-play, and why some forms of LARP are more often talked about as game or art.

This is part 11 of 12 for the NELCO 2013 “In the Chair” series – one on one interviews with LARP players and creators.  Their compiled answers, question by question are available from the original NELCO 2013 Series post, along with a list of the other LARPer interviews from NELCO 2013
